Asha'man Roleplaying

As stated before the Asha'man are a relatively unknown force which should remain so as much as possible. There are many reasons for this, mainly the safety of the Asha'man. For instance, if the Sedai know where the training area is (called the farm or the Black Tower), some might attack it.

The Asha'man are an army and thus should fight in such a manner. If a Brother calls for help, you should assist him in any manner that you can as long as it is a role-play matter. For instance, if an Asha'man is attacked for a role-playing reason, you should gather together at the farm and then go face the evil as an army. On the other hand, if an Asha'man gets himself into an OOC fight, you are not required to get involved. The reasoning for this policy is that if an Asha'man gets into an OOC fight, then 1) there will probably be retributive action taken by some party (i.e. council), no use having all the Asha'man getting in trouble for one's screw-up. 2) Hopefully, this lack of support will deter some from getting into OOC fights. 3) If its an OOC fight, it isn't an Asha'man matter. Following are some notes concerning relations with other guilds:

Aes Sedai
---------
The Dragon specifically told Mazrim to keep the Asha'man away from the Sedai. He did not want any incidents that would make it harder to get the Sedai to join him. He did not want any Sedai finding out who were Asha'man. For this reason, you should be very wary of Aes Sedai until they prove their intentions one way or the other.

Warders
-------
Though the Warders offer no real threat to those who can channel, not far behind a Warder will be his Sedai, so see Aes Sedai for information on this guild.

Whitecloaks
-----------
As do most people, the Asha'man should dislike the Whitecloaks. There is not much hate between the guilds as the Whitecloaks do not know the Asha'man exist, but the Whitecloaks should be disliked for their meddling in the various countries.

Aiel
----
Even though the Aiel are also an army of The Dragon's, the Aiel are an unknown and misunderstood people. This is the reason why you should treat the Aiel cautiously.

Gleeman
-------
Just like almost all other people, the Asha'man should enjoy the company of Gleeman when they are around. No harm should befall a gleeman.

Tinkers
-------
The common theory on the Tinkers is that they kidnap children, and so on. For this reason, the Tinkers are an untrusted and misunderstood people by most. They are generally shunned in larger city and only accepted in smaller cities because of the skills they have like fixing tools, pots and such. This does not mean that you should ever threaten a Tinker, just that you don't want them around you. As the Tinkers are not a fighting people, you should never do harm to a Tinker.

Seanchan
--------
The Seanchan are an unknown people, though from the rumors circulating, one should be very, very wary of any Seanchan they meet. Watch yourself, an encounter with a Seanchan will very likely be an unpleasant one.

Forsaken
--------
Everyone knows of the tales told to them as children about the Forsaken. The only knowledge of the forsaken you should have other than their names is what Mazrim would teach you at the farm. The teaching at the farm would basically be how to live through an encounter with a forsaken. The lesson is as follows, if you are not in a large group of Asha'man then cast defensive spells on yourself and run away until you can get grouped with the largest number of Asha'man you can. Then go back and face the evil. If you can not get a large group of Asha'man together (for OOC reasons, basically when no one is on) then you should run and hide somewhere. One Asha'man will not be enough, it will take several (4-5) Asha'man to kill a forsaken. You should at ALL times be very fearful of the forsaken, EVEN when grouped in a large group. The forsaken will still likely kill several of you.
