Due to a lack of any decent web-based chat systems, I've decided to write my own. Any helpful comments, criticisms, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Despite my moral objections to a high lowest-common-denominator requirement, I'm making this a frames-only system. I would like to make the chat system as powerful as possible, but still keep a large potential user-base. In this day and age, frames-enabled browsers are becoming the common standard.
If you are one of the unlucky who lack frames-support, sit tight, as as time permits I will make a non-frames and a text-only version of the system, along with a Java client for even more bells and whistles.
